(2009, acrylics on canvas, 100 x 100 cm)
I did this painting inspired by Jalaluddin Rumi's Diwan-e Shams-e Tabrizi, and particularly poem XXXI.
As I am rereading the book, I remembered this image that I painted more than a decade ago and I decided to post it.
Of course, Rumi's poetry is as inspirational as ever but, as it happens with every book that is worth rereading, I am finding further levels of interpretation, and also other treasures that are answering some of my current questions.
Thank you, Mawlawi.
